From February 7 to 23, 2,500 athletes from 88 countries will gather in Sochi, Russia. They’ll be there to take part in the XXII Winter Olympics.

A long history

The Olympic Games were started about 3,500 years ago in Greece. Then, in 394 A.D., the Roman emperor abolished them.

Currents4Kids is published 38 times per year (once per week except over Christmas and Spring Break) from mid-August until mid-June.
