In December, the Quebec City Aquarium noticed their polar bear Kinuk was acting strange. He was weak and a little wobbly.

Was something wrong with his back or spine? Was it his muscles or his nerves? Was he sick or hurt?

A trip to the vet

The zoo team checked his blood. They watched him closely. But they didn’t find anything.

They decided to take the four-year-old bear to the University Veterinary Hospital in Saint-Hyacinthe for more tests. It had special vets with special equipment. Maybe they could figure out what was wrong with Kinuk.
