Shohei Ohtani is one of the best pitchers in baseball. This season, the Japanese superstar showed the world he can do more than pitch. He racked up more than 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season.

That’s something no other major leaguer has done. And he did it with style.

A new goal

He signed with the L.A. Dodgers in December, three months after surgery on his pitching arm. The Dodgers knew he couldn’t pitch for a year. But they signed him anyway. The $700 million U.S. deal made him the highest-paid athlete in baseball.
