On February 20, Arshdeep Bains’ childhood dream came true. The 23-year-old winger played his first NHL game.

And not for just any team. He laced up his skates with the Vancouver Canucks.

Arshdeep Bains is a lifelong Canucks fan. He was born and raised an hour from Rogers Arena in Surrey, B.C. Growing up, hockey was his passion.

But the talented young player hasn’t had an easy ride to the big league. The WHL didn’t draft him as a junior.
